Experienced and Reliable
I’ve been working as a bookkeeper (and loving it) since I was 18 years old.
When I was growing up, my mother ran her own travel agency, and I started helping her with the books. To my surprise, I fell in love with it. As a black-and-white thinker, nothing gives me more of a thrill than seeing everything balance out to a nice tidy “zero.”
This started my career in corporate-level bookkeeping, and even managing other bookkeepers. In Tallahassee, I worked for 7 years doing the bookkeeping and financials in a corporate setting for doctors associations at a company called Association Management Resources.
And then, in Wyoming, I worked for 12 years in the corporate offices of a lumber company with 27 locations, both doing bookkeeping and overseeing a team of other bookkeepers.
In 2022, I left the corporate world to create my own bookkeeping business in order to be more flexible and available for my family. However, I’ve made sure to maintain my corporate levels of professionalism and punctuality in my work (old habits die hard, I guess!) Since starting my business, here’s how I’ve helped my neighbors/clients:
Pick up and organize boxes of physical paperwork, for clients of mine who aren’t tech savvy (and don’t wanna be)
Switched one client from an annual financial trainwreck to clean monthly financials (which made his CPA dance with joy)
Took over the calculation and management of those pesky sales tax filings
Caught (and corrected) $30,000 duplicate transactions
And more!
And, of course, I’m Quickbooks ProAdvisor Certified, too!

Laid-back and Local
I moved to Deer Lodge, MT in 2004 when my first husband got a job as a hospital administrator. So, we moved our two kids from Tallahassee, FL (a city of 300K people) to a small western town of 5,000 people. We later moved to another small town, Torrington, WY in 2008.
Needless to say, there was a little bit of culture shock at first, adjusting to the quirks and slower pace of small town life (like the only dry cleaner in town closing for Fair Day). But, in the end, I kinda took to small town life - and can’t imagine living, working, or raising my kids anywhere else.
Family-Focused and Competitive
You know how they say life is funny? Well, in 2021, I found Mr. Right … just in the wrong town, an hour away! We got married last year, but for the time being we live an hour apart for the good of our kids (we both have sons that are young and still in school and don’t want to uproot them). I made changes in my professional life for the good of my marriage and my family - but in a way where I still get to do the work I’ve always loved.
When I’m not commuting between Torrington and Cheyenne to see my husband, you’ll find me hanging out with my lazy Basset Hound Betty, or boating on the lake with my husband and our kids, or getting way too competitive playing (and winning!) card games with friends and family.
